We can’t help living in the future: planning activities, buying plane tickets for holidays, organising birthday parties, preparing applications, sending out invitations, making T-shirts for band tours that haven’t started yet, scarves for football team victories, baking cakes to celebrate what’s going to happen? – all guesswork. When the time comes, things may happen as planned, or they may not. We can only make our best guesses.

mala voadora and Chris Thorpe come together to talk about this: the imponderability of the course of history or the most banal events, as well as unexploded bombs, goodbye letters, ghost towns, bets, amulets… The show is simple: Andrade and Thorpe tell stories. Thorpe also plays guitar and sings. He sings Sitting on the Dock of Bay, which Otis Redding was recording when he died and which was left with whistled parts on the first recording, to be completed later.
