An Argentinian playwright and director accepts an invitation to premiere his next play at a festival in Brazil. But the play doesn’t really exist. No hay banda proposes to reconsider the process of writing and staging a play by questioning the limits of existence and representation. In this play, Flores Cárdenas proposes to investigate the zero point of the theatrical phenomenon: the body itself. The same body that has typed and breathed from the shadows will appear on stage, for the first time. But is being on stage acting? Where does fiction begin? Where does it end? No hay banda deconstructs one play while creating another, one in which a playwright tests the materiality of his body, the main actor of all utopias.
