Capicua is the name of an artist, a rapper, a writer and a powerful female voice that is sensitive and critical of society and politics. Constantly reinventing herself and searching for original formats, she now makes her theatre debut with “A Tralha”, a show with text and direction by Capicua, body and voice by Tiago Barbosa and some musical interference by Pedro Geraldes.
A Tralha is an almost monologue about accumulation. An essay on waste and obsolescence in the form of a personal narrative. A reflection on the objects that surround us, that serve as our extension, that contain our memories and that serve as our interface with the world. About the objects we manipulate and with which we define the choreographies we inscribe in space and in our routines. About the things we sink into, on a planet drowned in plastic and where what we take for granted is ultimately indestructible. About things whose weight is much greater than what we can carry. An emotional dissertation based on the story of a man who is left alone during his long months of confinement, surrounded by inert matter, rubble and memories.
