Unicórnia Negra is a collective formed by black lesbian, bisexual, and gender-nonconforming women living in Portugal who come together to read and discuss radical black literature. The name is a tribute to Audre Lorde and her work. This meeting will bring together members of the collective to share reflections on the group’s latest readings, ranging from Audre Lorde’s Sister Outsider to the Combahee River Collective (CRC) manifesto. It will be a moment for the exercise of collective thoughts, affections, and tensioning of the word as a political and imaginative practice.
Participation in this meeting is extended only to members of the collective.
