Les Amours Imaginaires presents a process of exploring a cinematic imaginary within a love relationship between three people. The relationship is specific, concerning the creator and the performers of the project. Drawing on a pre-existing video archive, the creator and the performers present exact re-enactments of film scenes, using fiction as a strategy for emotional survival, for questioning, and for reinventing a present in crisis.

This gesture involves not only activating an aesthetic and affective memory of the films referenced, but also transforming real spaces into stages of an emotional archaeology, where temporalities overlap and narratives are reconfigured. The scenes were filmed in the original locations of the works, proposing to establish a direct dialogue between a cinematic past and the performative present.

In this way, the project opens a space between reality and fiction, memory and invention, where love is explored both as a cinematic language and as an experience of resistance.
