John Clinton Eisner is a director, producer, story consultant, and co-founder of LARK – an award-winning think tank for theatre, of which he was artistic director for 27 years. The flying suitcase residency was used by John Clinton Eisner to structure and develop his book about his experience as artistic director of Lark and, in a broader sense, to reflect on and share his experience of the creative process and his relationship with the community. The intention of the residency was also to develop a close collaboration with John Clinton Eisner on a mala voadora project – Cornucópia – which celebrated diversity and the sense of commonality between people from different cultures.
