The diptych hard I + hard II has as its theme two ingredients of the most common entertainment: hard I deals with violence, from the body to war, from the family to international competitions, and centres around a ‘father, mother and child’ family nucleus and elephant stories; hard II is about catastrophes, natural or resulting from the operative control of the world, and develops as a guided tour of a miniature catastrophe museum.
