Gejaĉo
From geja (‘gay’, adjective) + -aĉ- (‘pejorative’) + -o.
It reads ‘gaiátcho’ and means ‘faggot’ in Esperanto, a universal secondary language, created as an aggregating language and parallel to all languages.
It’s a change, a leap into the fire, a solo debutante ball, a ritual and, for all that, a transition. It’s a journey, a project of creation and experimentation with various rituals in the quest to create a new ritual that symbolises the transition from denial to acceptance of homosexuality and that is also a liturgy of acceptance and parity.
Here we are humans, perhaps demigods, celebrating the mysteries.
