The creation follows on from Temporaries, a correspondence of family images between three artists from different countries, manipulated through montage. Through a sequence of images from fragments of family archives, with different image and sound supports, associated with affective family memories, which here transport the images, transforming the memories, Fragments of Memory aims to result in a visual composition essay, which starts from their appropriation, decontextualisation and fragmentation in real time. The images, both still and moving, are revisited, unfolding into new readings and contexts and narratives, in a time that passes and a time that doesn’t pass, expanding in space, on a journey through different eras and their socio-economic context.
