Taking condominium meetings as a reference, this residency proposal brings citizenship and the primordial conflict between the individual and the group to the stage, projecting this relationship beyond the natural limits of a common condominium and its organic structure. The creative process includes the writing of the text based on work on the stage, as well as some universal literary references and work with the community in peripheral contexts. The work and its public presentation take place in unconventional spaces.
During the residencies, themes are discussed, new texts are collected, realities are documented (in video, audio or written form) and variations to pre-existing scenes (from the show) are prepared that reflect concrete problems expressed by these communities. We can reflect on the condition and experiences of the peripheries even when they discover themselves in the centers. This involves the participation of people with very different experiences, including marginalized groups, immigrants, refugees and others. The relationship with “site specific” is a privileged factor in dramaturgical elaboration and in influencing the formal evolution of the show itself.
