MOTION/CAPTURE is an international project that Mala Voadora will premiere in 2027, but we began working on it as early as 2025 and are now at a decisive stage of the project. We were in Edinburgh (watching performances and) working with Margaret Perry, who is directing the actors. Next, we will embark on a series of residencies:

(1) An initial residency at the Campo Cultural de Campilhas, with Jorge Andrade, Tamás Páll and João Fonte, will be dedicated to exploring digital technology.
(2) The second, also in Campilhas, will focus on dramaturgy and performance, with Robert Schenkkan, Jorge Andrade, Maria Jorge and Margaret Perry.
(3) The third residency will take place in Dortmund, at a motion capture studio, where the entire team will be based. It forms part of the European Theatre Convention (ETC) Digital Theatre Programme, in partnership with the Centro Cultural de Belém, the Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre, and the Academy for Theatre and Digitality Dortmund.
