Xavier de Sousa will be working on the POST show adaptation to a portuguese postcolonial context and searching for language interpretation and adaptation processes in performance for a new show, TIME/COLONIA, that he’s developing with immigrant and refugee communities in England.

Xavier de Sousa is an artist and producer originally from Montemor-o-Novo, Coimbra, Portugal, living in Brighton, England. His shows aims to question personal and socio-political heritage, especially when it comes to immigration, adaptation and presence. His shows POST (touring) and Almost Xav explore the dichotomies between the theatrical experience and the audience involvement, often working with personal experiences and political strands, in order to create discussion platforms in which divergent voices can be represented.
