overdrama
Overdrama was the first text that Chris Thorpe wrote for mala voadora. Taking as reference ongoing events at the time of writing, Overdrama portraits a situation of social turmoil, on the break of generalized catastrophe. A group of individuals recounts their personals dramas and, through them, their stand – more involved or more detached - on events. What appears to be a set of unrelated stories turns out to be part of the same plot. Most characters were narrating he events that led to their deaths. The ones still alive are protagonists of a utopia: the possibility of the cyclical nature of History. The show ends with a grandmother sacrificing herself in a bomb attack.
