Os Justos
To stage Albert Camus’ “The Justs” – a confrontation of ethical perspectives on sacrificial deaths motivated by an ideal of world transformation - a connection was established between, on one hand, the attempts made by the members of the terrorist group in order to accomplish the attack on the Grand Duke and, on the other, the attempts made by the group of actors in staging the show.
Jorge Andrade’s staging of “The Justs” was awarded the honourable mention of the Madalena Azeredo Perdigão 2004 award, attributed by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
