hard I + II
The diptych hard I + II has as its theme two ingredients of the most common “spectacular”. Hard I is about violence, from the body to the war, from the family to the international competitions, and it develops around a family nucleus “father, mother and son” and stories of elephants. Hard II is about catastrophes, natural or resulting from the operational control of the world ("Progress and catastrophe are opposite sides of the same coin," said Arendt); it is a guided tour of a miniature catastrophe museum.
