HAPPY TOGETHER 3 . Call for Art
mala voadora launches Happy Together 3rd edition's call. Once again, this third edition is a partnership between mala voadora, preparing a show called "Amazónia" to be premiered in November, around ecological questions, and Forum of the Future (Municipality of Porto) which, this year, has "Terra Elétrica" or "Electric Earth" as subject. The research process that mala voadora has been doing for the show "Amazónia" and Forum of the Future's subject converge in a common thematic territory, in which seems the perfect ilustration of what does it mean to be "happy together".
The 2017's programe edition counts again with a call for art, aiming the selection of three pieces, between visual and performative arts (including theatre and dance), to install or present at mala voadora and two conferences inserted in Forum of the Future's program: with the artist, technologist and philosopher, Koert van Mensvoort and the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement's activist, Les U. Knight.
The call for art takes time between July 4th and September 3rd and the intention is to select three artistic intervention proposals; each one will receive 1500€ support. The call for art is open to Portugal residents artists.
The jury responsible for the proposal's selection is composed by three mala voadora's elements (Jorge Andrade, José Capela e Vânia Rodrigues), Guilherme Blanc, representing the Municipality of Porto, Daniel Fraga, archiitect and investigator and Marcelo Evelin, dancer and choreographer.
