Eurodance

EURODANCE is a geopolitical and techno-emotional hecatomb, a 190 beats- per-minute counting down towards the end of the world, a bad trip on a rave-plane Hamburgo/Ibiza with elliptic stopover at Pará and emergency landing for fuel at Luanda, a psychotropic drug also known as AzeitegeistTM. EURODANCE is a post-apocalyptic documentary produced by the Vintage Department of Eschatology of the Center for the New World's Pre-Human Studies and it studies the last decade of the Old Regime, when world was written with a capital letter, there was no epistemological difference between Arts and Sports and the artists were all backup dancers for a universal cosmic band. EURODANCE dances in EuropeanTM, but brings legends in NovilínguaTM. It steals lyrics from the Slavoj Žižek's shamanic prophecies and Dr. Phil's alter-dogmatic philosophy, the first cyborgs of History; it steals beats from pre-apocalyptic ethic of the mashup movement and from the anti-social moral of techno-lame; and it steals artworks from proto-post-pop aesthetics of "Jogos sem Fronteiras" and from the re-re-realistic ethic of Pequim Olimpic Games' opening cerimony.  EURODANCE is technotronic, megalo-colonialist, ethno-musical, bubblegum pop, happy hardcore, chipmunk, autotune, playback, canned rave’ioli, vengaboys, pisang ambon, electrolame, é technolame, progressive fitness, body pump-up the jam... EURODANCE returns to all fin-de-siècle nighmares, because it aims to a retroactive correction of Reality: the world REALLY ended at 1999, December 31st night, when the computers no longer recognized the binary language and the world (lowercase letter) collapsed. That's why EURODANCE is a meteoric party, in honor of all those who (still) didn't die. A journey back to the 90s; a trip back to the PresentTM.
